Astrid Weiss

Kurzbiografie

Astrid Weiss ist Assistenzprofessorin in der Human-Computer Interaction Group an der Technischen Universität Wien. Sie hat einen Doktortitel in Sozialwissenschaften und Mensch-Computer-Interaktion von der Universität Salzburg. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt dem Einfluss von Technologie auf das tägliche Leben und der Frage, was Menschen dazu bewegt, Technologie abzulehnen oder zu akzeptieren. Die Forschungsfrage, die ihre Arbeit derzeit antreibt, lautet: Nehmen wir verkörperte künstliche Intelligenz wirklich anders wahr und reagieren wir anders auf sie als auf andere Technologien? Astrid Weiss gilt als eine Pionierin in der Verbindung von empirischer Sozialforschung und Robotik. Sie hat auf Konferenzen wie HRI, RO-MAN und ICSR sowie in Fachzeitschriften wie International Journal of Social Robotics, Autonomous Robots und dem Journal of HRI veröffentlicht. Sie ist regelmäßig Mitglied von Programm- und Organisationsausschüssen im Bereich der HRI-Forschung.
