Short Bio

Darja is a PhD student with a focus on body motion in human-robot interaction at the Institute of Visual Computing and Human-Centered Technology, TU Wien. She was part of the TrustRobots Doctoral College. The main project she is currently part of is working on a human motion imitation system which is to be used for further research into exploration of body movement exchanges between a human and a robot. She received a joint Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Computer Vision and Robotics (VIBOT) and her master thesis research was on socially assistive robots and amotional postures for robots. More specifically designing an interactive game with a humanoid robot for children with autism spectrum disorder. She is also part of the programing team in the research group H.A.U.S.  where they have prepared several performance acts with the Pepper robot.
